Dr. Datar serves on the Board of Directors of ICF International, Inc., a CMEP portfolio company.
Dr. Datar is the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University and a Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School. Dr. Datar is a Chartered Accountant and has been a professor of accounting and business administration at Harvard since July 1, 1996, previously serving as a professor at Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Datar is a member of the board of directors of Novartis AG, a holding company organized under Swiss law whose securities are publicly traded on the SWX Swiss Stock Exchange and, in the form of American Depositary Shares, NYSE.
He has consulted with and done field-based research with many large corporations. He has presented his research to managers and executives in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Dr. Datar received gold medals upon his graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
Dr. Datar received a master's degree in statistics, a master's degree in economics and a PhD in accounting from Stanford University.
