William C. Burkett

Mr. Burkett is an Executive Partner and has been a long-standing advisor to CMEP.  Mr. Burkett is Chairman of Evans Consoles Corporation, formerly a CMEP portfolio company, and serves as Special Advisor to the President of Takata Corporation, a $5 billion revenue supplier of automotive seat belt and airbag systems.

Mr. Burkett, based in San Francisco, previously served as Chairman and Co-founder of Specialty Finance Trust Ltd. a London and Rome based finance company providing funding to providers of healthcare services to the Italian public sector.  Recently, Mr. Burkett was Chairman of Innovative Art and Portal Publications, both consumer products companies and both formerly CMEP portfolio companies.  Mr. Burkett was also a long-time board member of Ramgen Power Systems until its sale to Dresser-Rand.

Mr. Burkett’s prior experience includes President of Takata Fabrication Corp., Executive Vice President of Takata Inc. and Executive Vice Chairman of European Components Corporation Ltd. where he led turnarounds of Takata’s European and US operations.  Prior to Takata, he was with McKinsey & Company, Inc. and Credit Suisse First Boston Ltd.

Mr. Burkett received a Masters in Public and Private Management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management and BA in Economics from Stanford.
