System Planning and Analysis Announces Appointment of Darla Moon as CFO

Darla Moon Brings over 20 years of Finance, Accounting, Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategic Planning and Execution. Pamela A. Melroy Also Joins Board of Directors.

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 7, 2019 -- Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. ("SPA"), a portfolio company of CM Equity Partners ("CMEP"), has named Darla Moon as Chief Financial Officer effective January 7, 2019. 

Ms. Moon brings a wealth of experience and proven success with over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and execution.  Prior to joining SPA, she served as CFO for the Patriot Group where she was responsible for all facets of the company's finance and accounting activities.  Before that, Ms. Moon served as Senior Vice President, Business Operations and CFO at ManTech International Corporation where she was instrumental in spearheading key target acquisitions and oversaw all financial planning, analysis, and contract negotiations for an $800M+ business unit.  Ms. Moon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) where she was selected as one of the "2012 Professional Women of the Year."

Pamela A. Melroy Joins Board of Directors

​Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., (SPA) announced Friday the appointment of former NASA Space Shuttle Commander and retired USAF Colonel, Pamela A. Melroy, to the SPA Board of Directors. With a distinguished career of over 25 years as a professional jet and test pilot, nearly 1000 hours in space, and executive positions in industry and government, Colonel Melroy brings her unique and extensive experience in space, hypersonics, defense, and international markets to SPA.

Colonel Melroy flew three Space Shuttle missions and was one of only two women to command the Space Shuttle. Before retiring she logged over 6000 hours flight time in more than 50 different aircraft. After leaving NASA in 2009, Colonel Melroy served in government and industry executive positions including the FAA and as the Deputy Director, Tactical Technology Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). While at DARPA she oversaw the hypersonics portfolio and national issues related to hypersonics.
